The Law Office of Norma Ann Dawson was founded in 1994, and since its inception, has specialized in general business, labor and employment, and personal injury law.  The firm is located in Long Beach, California.  In the past decade, it has become a respected law firm in Southern California, providing legal services in areas such as real estate transactions and litigation, business transactions and litigation, and alternative and holistic dispute resolution.  The firm's current practice focuses on general corporate counseling, corporate and regulatory compliance, and ethics, with a view toward minimizing the risk of liability, especially regulatory and contractual liability.

Norma Ann Dawson, rated Av by Martindale Hubbell, has tried more than 50 bench trials and submitted several matters for consideration to the California Court of Appeal.  She is a recognized expert in numerous areas of the law, including general business and corporate law, the One Call statute, commercial real estate law, wrongful termination and employment discrimination, legal ethics and professional responsibility.
           
Ms. Dawson, a graduate of The University of Michigan Law School and Pennsylvania State University, has practiced law in California since 1979. Her legal career began in the corporate environment where she was a regulatory attorney.  Since 1987, her practice has included general business and civil litigation. Despite a busy work and personal schedule, she provides pro bono services to clients with limited funds, and has served as both a judge pro tem in the small claims and traffic courts and an arbitrator for attorney-client mandatory fee arbitration programs.  Ms. Dawson is a certified mediator, receiving her training through the Los Angeles County Bar  Association Dispute Resolution Services, Inc. program.  For relaxation, she plays the piano and races her 1987 Porsche 944 with Porsche Owners Club and the Grand Prix Region of Porsche Club of America.

Her past employment positions include PennCorp Financial, Inc. in Santa Monica, California where she was a Staff and Insurance Regulatory Counsel; Mathon & Rosensweig in Beverly Hills, California where she was an Associate Attorney specializing in insurance transactions and litigation, and  Stone & Hiles in Beverly Hills, California where she was an Associate Attorney specializing in employment defense and insurance defense litigation.
